REWIND: WEEK 22
A CLASSIC IN THE CAPITAL
DC Power hosted Dallas Trinity on Thursday night in an intense back-and-forth match up, with the home side recording 12 shots and goalkeeper Makenna Gottschalk recording six saves, and the visitors taking 11 shots and goalkeeper Tyler McCamey notching five saves. The draw helped DC set a new club record for longest unbeaten streak at six matches.
FIRST GOALS FOR BOS & LUSSI
Dallas’ Bethany Bos and Carolina’s Tyler Lussi, who both joined their new teams during the Winter Break, found the back of the net in Week 22. Bos’ goal saved Dallas a point against DC and Lussi’s goal was the game winner in the team’s match up against Tampa Bay.
Additionally, Spokane defender Reese Tappan, who has appeared 26 times for Zephyr, scored her first goal in Spokane’s emphatic 3-0 victory over Brooklyn.
CAROLINA’S FIRST-EVER WIN OVER TAMPA BAY
Carolina Ascent’s 1-0 victory against Tampa Bay Sun FC was the first time in league history that the Charlotte-based club had beaten the reigning champs. Prior to the meeting, Tampa held a 2-0-3 record against Carolina.
A WALK IN THE PARKS
Sporting JAX’s Kaitlyn Parks has recorded three consecutive shutouts for the second time this season.
The only active player to record more than three consecutive shutouts is Spokane Zephyr FC’s Hope Hisey, who was named Goalkeeper of the Year in 2025/26, recorded a streak of five consecutive shutouts early this season and a streak of four last season. Hisey has recorded a clean sheet in Spokane’s last two matches.

Four Sporting JAX players are within reach of setting new single-season records:
- Both Paige Kenton and Meg Hughes currently sit at six assists this season and would tie the single-season record set in 2024/25 by Golden Playmaker winner Jill Aguilera. With two assists, Kenton or Hughes will set a new single-season league record.
- With 11 goals this season, Ashlyn Puerta is two goals away from tying the league’s single-season scoring record set last year by Dallas’ Allie Thorton (13 goals).
- Sporting Club Jacksonville’s Ashlyn Puerta has tied the league’s single-season record of 16 goal contributions (12 goals, 4 assists), previously set by both Emina Ekic for Spokane Zephyr FC and Allie Thornton for Dallas Trinity FC in the 2024/25 season.
- Additionally, Kaitlyn Parks currently has eight cleans sheets and is one shutout away from tying the regular season record of nine shutouts set by Spokane’s Hope Hisey last season.

- Tampa Bay is coming off a 1-0 defeat against Carolina Ascent FC. It was the first time in exactly three months that Tampa had been held scoreless, and broke a three-game undefeated streak for the club.
- Brooklyn is coming off a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Spokane Zephyr FC and was held scoreless for the second consecutive match.
- Brooklyn has never lost to Tampa Bay, holding a 4-0-3 record over the 2024/25 champions. The most recent meeting between the clubs saw Brooklyn take a 3-0 victory as Catherine Zimmerman scored twice at Suncoast Credit Union Field.

- Lexington is coming off its second consecutive loss as they lost in Week 21 to Dallas 1-0 at home. It marked the first time LSC had lost consecutive games since four consecutive defeats between April 23-May 16, 2025.
- Dallas has an all-time record of 5-1-1 against Lexington SC following Dallas’ victory in their most recent meeting. Trinity had claimed victory in all four meetings between the sides in the 2024/25 campaign.
- Lexington’s Kat Asman recorded five shutouts in the team’s first 10 matches this season, with the most recent occurring on November 15, 2025 against Brooklyn FC. Lexington has not recorded a shutout since that contest, going eight games without a clean sheet in league play.
- Dallas’ Tyler McCamey recorded an individual career-best five saves in the team’s last match against DC and has now posted a league-high 17 saves since the start of the spring schedule while logging a 0.82 goals-against average and a -5.15 Goals Prevented mark.

- Lexington will be coming off a midweek match against Dallas Trinity FC.
- Fort Lauderdale United is coming off a 2-0 loss at home against Sporting JAX. FTL is winless in its last 10 matches, the longest such streak in club history and the longest for a club in the 2025/26 season.
- The teams have met three times so far this season, with Lexington winning each of the past two contests after a 3-3 draw in the first meeting of the campaign. Most recently, Lexington took a 3-1 victory on January 31 as Cat Barry scored twice and Mackenzie Weinert found the net.
- Fort Lauderdale has conceded a league-high five goals inside the opening 15 minutes of games and a league-high nine goals in the final 15 minutes of games this season.
- Lexington has scored a league-high 12 goals in the opening half-hour of games this season, and ranks second in the league overall with 17 first-half goals.

- Spokane Zephyr is coming off its biggest win this season, a 3-0 victory over Brooklyn FC at ONE Spokane Stadium that earned the side its second consecutive victory.
- DC Power will be looking to rebound from a 1-0 defeat against Carolina Ascent FC on Tuesday afternoon at Audi Field, a loss that broke the Power’s club record six-game undefeated streak.
- Spokane Zephyr is undefeated in six prior meetings against DC Power, going 3-0-3 in six prior meetings. The Power are the only club Spokane has yet to suffer defeat against in its history.
- Spokane’s victory against Brooklyn marked the club’s first three-goal performance since a 3-1 victory against Fort Lauderdale United on December 20 at Beyond Bancard Field. It was the first instance the side had scored three goals at home since a 3-2 victory against Tampa Bay Sun FC on April 26, 2025.
- The Power’s Gianna Gourley will be aiming to break a six-game scoreless streak, the longest of her time with DC. Gourley last scored on December 13, 2025 with a two-goal performance against Lexington SC, and has recorded 21 shots and a 2.76 Expected Goals mark in the six games since.
- Spokane has recorded consecutive shutouts for the first time since a five-game shutout streak between Sept. 13-Oct. 12, 2025, moving goalkeeper Hope Hisey to seven shutouts overall this season.
- Spokane Zephyr’s Lena Silano (2G, 1A), Ginger Fontenot (2G, 1A), and Tori Waldeck (1G, 2A) have each recorded three goal contributions since the resumption of the season in late January, tied for second in the league in goal contributions over that span.

- Brooklyn will enter Saturday’s contest after visiting Tampa Bay Sun FC on Wednesday night for its opening game of the week.
- Carolina Ascent is coming off a 1-0 victory against DC Power FC on Tuesday afternoon at Audi Field which saw the club earn its third consecutive victory.
- Tyler Lussi scored her second goal in as many games for Ascent against the Power, having also provided the game-winning goal in Carolina’s 1-0 victory against Tampa Bay Sun FC last Friday night.
- Carolina is undefeated in six prior meetings with Brooklyn, posting a 4-0-2 record in the series. Audrey Coleman scored the only goal for the Ascent in a 1-0 victory on December 6 when the teams last met.
- Carolina will enter the match on a three-game winning streak for the first time this season, with the run marking the second-longest such run in club history. The Ascent recorded a six-game winning streak between March 23-April 26 that proved key in claiming the 2024/25 Super League Players’ Shield.
- Carolina’s Audrey Coleman became only the second player to record 10 assists in the Gainbridge Super League’s regular season as she provided the helper on Tyler Lussi’s game-winner against DC Power on Tuesday. Coleman has recorded five assists in both of her seasons with Carolina and now sits tied for third in the league this season.
- Carolina has recorded only three goals from set pieces this season, the fewest in the league, but standout playmaker Jill Aguilera leads the league with 27 chances created from set pieces this season.

- Dallas Trinity FC will be coming off a midweek match against Lexington SC on Wednesday night at the Cotton Bowl.
- Sporting Club Jacksonville is coming off a 2-0 victory against FTL with goals from Georgia Brown and Baylee DeSmit that saw the side record its third consecutive victory and fifth win in the past six games overall.
- Dallas Trinity and Sporting JAX have split their prior two meetings this season, with each side winning on the road in their prior encounters. Jacksonville took a 2-0 victory at the Cotton Bowl in their most recent meeting on November 8 as Ashlyn Puerta and Paige Kenton found the net.
- Sporting JAX currently has players atop the leaderboard in Goals (Ashlyn Puerta, 11 goals), Assists (Meg Hughes & Paige Kenton, 6 assists) and Goal Contributions (Ashlyn Puerta, 16 goal contributions) as the side leads the league with 37 goals this campaign.
