The Players’ Shield winners scored either side of halftime to take victory at Lexington SC Stadium as Sarah Griffith opened the scoring in the 40th minute with a low strike from outside the box, and Golden Boot winner Catherine Barry added a second six minutes into the second half off an assist from Alyssa Bourgeois. Dallas went close to answering five minutes after Barry’s goals when Maya McCutcheon had an effort cleared off the line by LSC’s Ally Brown, but the hosts closed out the result as goalkeeper Kat Asman posted a four-save shutout.

Carolina’s fast start proved decisive as Mackenzie George scored the only goal in the sixth minute as she combined with Riley Parker. The visitors almost doubled their lead midway through the first half when Jenna Butler headed off the crossbar, but while Jacksonville produced a positive response in the second half, the hosts were unable to capitalize on their opportunities. A header by Georgia Brown that was well denied by Carolina’s Sydney Martinez with 15 minutes to go proved the closest the hosts came to scoring, allowing Ascent to advance to the final with Martinez delivering a seven-save shutout.
