Summer additions have potential to make impact at new clubs as the season progresses
The 2026 Gainbridge Super League Fall Season is just around the corner, kicking off on Saturday, August 15 on Peacock, and clubs have been announcing some exciting new talent coming into the league.
Below are six newcomers that we’re excited to watch this season.
Seven Castain, Forward, Dallas Trinity FC: While Seven Castain will make her Gainbridge Super League debut in Dallas, she’s no stranger to the USL ecosystem. The dynamic forward starred in the USL W League with Utah United, leading the club to the 2025 league championship while earning both the Golden Boot and Player of the Year honors. Following her incredible season with Utah, and a standout collegiate career at TCU, the striker signed her first pro contract with the Orlando Pride of the NWSL before joining Dallas Trinity FC on loan for the Fall season.
Castain is first and foremost a finisher, having averaged 3.6 shots and 0.73 Expected Goals per 90 minutes in her senior season with the Horned Frogs. She offers the potential to boost a Trinity attack that featured numerous scorers, but no centerpieces to lead the line in the past campaign. Paired with proven Super League goal scorers Jasmine Hamid and Ally Cook, Castain adds another dangerous attacking option to a Dallas side that will be looking to make it past the first round of the playoffs this fall.
Ryan Campbell, Goalkeeper, Lexington SC: Reigning champions Lexington SC return most of the squad that won the 2025 Gainbridge Super League title, bringing back 17 of the 21 players. One notable departure, however, is Golden Glove winner Kat Asman, whose loan concluded at the end of the season. Stepping into that role is Ryan Campbell, a standout goalkeeper who starred collegiately at Stanford and UCLA before signing her first professional contract with Gotham FC (NWSL) in 2025.
Campbell was a standout for the Bruins as a senior, leading the nation with 16 shutouts while also recording a save percentage of 82.1%. Now on loan to Lexington for the 2026 Fall season, Campbell will be tasked with filling the void left by one of the league’s top goalkeepers as the defending champions set their sights on back-to-back titles.
Kayla Colbert, Forward, DC Power FC: Kayla Colbert arrives at DC Power after stops with Utah Royals FC and the Kansas City Current in the NWSL, bringing professional experience that can add to the club’s attacking corps. A four-year contributor at USC, Colbert helped lead the Trojans to a Big Ten championship and the program’s first-ever No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament during her senior season in 2024. Her arrival bolsters a DC side looking to take the next step after narrowly missing the playoffs in each of the league’s first two seasons, with the club aiming to secure its first postseason berth in 2026.
Grace Cutler, Forward, Fort Lauderdale United FC: Grace Cutler brings lots of experience to a youthful Fort Lauderdale United team. Following a standout collegiate career at West Virginia, Cutler had stints at Houston Dash and Washington Spirit (NWSL) and then travelled the globe and gained extensive international experience with stops at Sassuolo (Italy), Omiya Ardija (Japan) and ŽNK Međimurje Čakovec (Croatia) before arriving in South Florida. Now in Fort Lauderdale, Cutler adds veteran leadership to a revamped roster determined to bounce back after finishing at the bottom of the table last season and return to playoff contention in 2026.
Maci Teater, Midfielder, Sporting Club Jacksonville: Sporting Club Jacksonville made only a handful of additions to its roster this offseason, with midfielder Maci Teater among the newcomers. A Vanderbilt product, Teater arrives after competing in The Soccer Tournament in 2025 and spending time in Iceland with Grindavík/Njarðvík W. She also reunites with Sporting JAX Head Coach Stacey Balaam, who served as Vanderbilt’s associate head coach in 2024 during Teater’s final collegiate season. That familiarity could help Teater make an immediate impact as Jacksonville looks to build on a strong inaugural campaign with much of its core returning.
Kennedy White, Forward, Tampa Bay Sun FC: Kennedy White could prove to be one of the club’s most impactful additions. The forward, who starred collegiately at Bowling Green and Mississippi State, arrives after leading Melbourne Victory with eight goals in in Australia’s A-League Women’s 2025/26 campaign, tied for third in the league overall. The 26-year-old averaged 2.96 shots per game for the Victory in the past campaign, while ranking third in the league with 56 shots overall.
After struggling to generate consistent offense last season, the 2025 champions will be counting on White to provide a spark alongside Sydny Nasello, Shea Connors, and fellow newcomer Tori Zierenberg as Tampa Bay looks to reestablish itself among the league’s top attacking sides.
