REWIND: WEEK 3
DESMIT’S CONSECUTIVE GOALS
Sporting Jacksonville’s Baylee DeSmit has scored in all three matches to open the Fall Season and should she find the back of the net this weekend, she would tie a league record for goals scored in consecutive matches.
Previously, DeSmit’s teammates Paige Kenton and Ashlyn Puerta each recorded four-game scoring streaks during the 2025/26 Super League season, while Jasmine Hamid posted a four-game scoring streak for Fort Lauderdale United FC during the 2024/25 season.
SPORTING JAX TRIPLES UP
Sporting Club Jacksonville recorded its third consecutive victory to start the 2026 Fall Season to sit as the lone perfect side in the league after three weeks. Jacksonville is only the second team to start a campaign with three consecutive victories after Dallas Trinity FC, which took three consecutive wins to start the 2025/26 season before falling to Fort Lauderdale United FC in its fourth outing.
DC POWER’S ABERA REACHES 15-GOAL LANDMARK
DC Power FC forward Loza Abera scored the opening goal in her side’s 2-1 victory against Lexington SC on Saturday night, moving the Ethiopian international to 15 regular season goals in the Super League’s history. Abera is the seventh player to reach the mark in league history, doing so in her 53rd appearance.
FINALISTS BOTH FALL
Both Lexington SC and Carolina Ascent FC lost on home turf in Week 3. The two 2026 Finalists were favorites going into the weekend, but after 2-1 loses in both Lexington and Charlotte, the League table has seen its first big mix up of the season.
BROOKLYN SUFFERS THIRD CONSECUTIVE LOSS
Brooklyn FC fell 1-0 to Fort Lauderdale United FC on Friday night for its third consecutive loss to start the season. BKFC is the first club to have lost three consecutive games to start a Super League season.
WEEK 4 STORYLINES
DC POWER, SPORTING JAX SET FOR 1-2 MATCHUP
Following victories in Week 3, first-place Sporting Club Jacksonville heads to face second-place DC Power FC on Friday night at Audi Field in a key matchup to start the second month of the campaign. In a twist from the norm, the road team has dominated the series, with Jacksonville taking two wins in its trips to Audi Field last season and DC earning two wins at Hodges Stadium.
CAROLINA ASCENT LOOKS TO REBOUND
Carolina Ascent FC will play host to Fort Lauderdale United FC on Saturday night aiming to rebound from its first home opener loss in club history last Saturday night. The contest will mark Fort Lauderdale’s first road game of the season after its home victory against Brooklyn FC in Week 3.
BROOKLYN & DALLAS STILL LOOKING FOR FIRST WIN
Dallas Trinity FC and Brooklyn FC will try to end their winless runs to start the season as the last two sides yet to take victory so far this campaign when they meet at the Cotton Bowl on Saturday night. Dallas has claimed one point from its opening three games, while BKFC has suffered three consecutive losses to start the campaign.

- DC Power enters Week 4 after knocking off reigning champions Lexington SC 2-1 at Lexington SC stadium. Loza Abera scored the opening goal off the rebound of her initial penalty kick for her third goal of the season while midfielder Emily Colton doubled the lead after scoring her first of the season.
- Jacksonville is the lone perfect team left in the league after a 2-0 shutout victory at home over Dallas Trinity where Baylee DeSmit scored in her third consecutive match and Sophia Boman scored her first of the season.
- This early first vs. second matchup will serve as the fifth meeting between the two sides, with an even split of two wins and two loses apiece. Both clubs have won twice away from home in the series, with Jacksonville going 2-0-0 at Audi Field a season ago.
- Sporting JAX is only the second team to win its first three games of a Super League campaign, following Dallas Trinity FC in the 2025/26 season. With a win, Jacksonville would become the first club to record four consecutive wins in a league campaign.
- DC Power has taken only two victories at home in each of its first two seasons in the Super League and fell 1-0 to Carolina Ascent FC in its home opener on August 15. The Power are 4-15-10 at home in the Super League, the fewest home wins in league history.
- Loza Abera’s goal for DC against Lexington was her 15th in the Super League’s regular season, becoming the seventh player to reach the landmark in league history. Abera has averaged a goal every 191.1 minutes in the Super League for her career.
- Baylee DeSmit has scored a league-high four goals in the opening three games of the season and could become the fourth player to record goals in four consecutive league games all-time with a tally against DC.
- Sporting Club Jacksonville would become the third team to claim its 20th regular season victory in the Super League with a win against the Power, following Carolina Ascent FC (30) and Dallas Trinity FC (23).

- Carolina Ascent FC welcomes Fort Lauderdale United FC to American Legion Memorial Stadium after suffering a 2-1 defeat against Tampa Bay Sun in Week 3. Reese Tappan headed in the lone goal in for the home side, her first goal for her new team.
- Fort Lauderdale United FC picked up its first win of the season after a 1-0 win at home against Brooklyn FC. Nicole Vernis scored the club’s first goal of the season off an assist by Sh’nia Gordon to earn all three points.
- Carolina Ascent and Fort Lauderdale United have each won three times and drawn twice in their eight previous meetings across the regular season and playoffs. Carolina claimed the last meeting between the sides with a 3-0 victory on May 8 when Meaghan Nally, Mia Corbin and Tyler Lussi all found the net in the final half-hour in Fort Lauderdale.
- Fort Lauderdale United will play its first road game of the season on Saturday after playing its opening two contests at home. The side went 3-8-3 on the road a season ago, tied for the second-fewest away wins in the league.
- Carolina’s Mia Corbin has recorded five goals and one assist in eight career appearances against Fort Lauderdale United, tied for the most goals for a club against a single opponent in the Super League’s history.
- Fort Lauderdale United’s Kiara Locklear has recorded four goals and three assists in seven career appearances against Carolina Ascent, the most goal contributions for a club against a single opponent in Super League history.
- Fort Lauderdale’s Haley Craig enters Saturday’s contest with 65 regular season saves, only three back of Kat Asman in fifth place in the Super League’s history. Craig has averaged 4.76 saves per 90 minutes in her Super League career.

- Both sides are still looking for the first victory of the season, with Dallas currently sitting at 0-2-1 and Brooklyn at 0-3-0 after each suffering defeat in Week 3 of the regular season.
- Dallas Trinity FC returns home after losing 2-0 to Sporting Club Jacksonville this past Saturday night at Hodges Stadium.
- Brooklyn FC fell 1-0 to Fort Lauderdale United FC last Friday night to become the first side to lose its first three games in a Super League campaign.
- Trinity was held without a shot on target in its contest against Jacksonville, marking the first time the side had failed to register a shot on target in a Super League contest. Dallas had previously registered one shot on target on three occasions, including against Brooklyn FC on April 11, 2026.
- Dallas and Brooklyn have each taken three victories and drawn twice in eight prior meetings in the Super League. BKFC is undefeated in their past three meetings, including a 3-0 victory on April 11 at Maimonides Park, but is winless in its last three trips to the Cotton Bowl having last won in Dallas on Dec. 13, 2024.
- Dallas Trinity’s Camryn Lancaster has recorded four goals in six career appearances against Brooklyn FC, the most goals by a Trinity player in the series between the clubs.
- Neither Brooklyn or Dallas has scored in the opening half so far this season, joining Fort Lauderdale United FC and Lexington SC in not finding the net before the halftime break.
- All eight goals conceded by Brooklyn FC have come inside the penalty area, with the side currently sporting a league-high 6.37 Expected Goals Against mark through its opening three games.
