REWIND: WEEK 5
CAROLINA ASCENT WINS SUPER LEAGUE FINAL REMATCH
Carolina Ascent FC took a 1-0 victory against Lexington SC on Friday night in rematch of this past May’s Super League Final as Jenna Butler scored an 88th-minute winner at Lexington SC Stadium. The result extended Carolina’s league-record road regular season winning streak to nine games, and moved the side into first place in the Super League standings, while handing Lexington its second consecutive loss.
BROOKLYN FC DELIVERS FIRST WIN OF CAMPAIGN
Brooklyn FC took its first victory of the 2026 Fall Season with a 3-2 win against previously undefeated Sporting Club Jacksonville on Sunday afternoon at Maimonides Park. Catherine Zimmerman and Tziarra King both scored inside the opening 10 minutes – matching Brooklyn’s total for goals in the opening 15 minutes of games in the full 2025/26 season – before Zimmerman added her second goal of the game late on.
TAMPA BAY SUN TAKE HOME OPENER WIN
Tampa Bay Sun FC earned its first victory in a home opener at the third attempt as it rallied for a 2-1 win against Fort Lauderdale United FC on Saturday evening at Suncoast Credit Union Field. Tori Zierenberg and Shea Connors each found the net in the second half, moving Tampa Bay to 5-0-5 all-time against Fort Lauderdale. The Sun’s 10-game undefeated streak against its in-state foe is the longest in a series in Super League history.
DALLAS TRINITY FC EARNS SECOND CONSECUTIVE WIN
Dallas Trinity FC recorded a 2-1 win against DC Power FC at the Cotton Bowl on Sunday night to earn its second consecutive victory and move into a three-way tie on seven points to start the season. Jasmine Hamid notched her third goal of the season – moving to 20 goal contributions (16G, 4A) in her Super League career, while 20-year-old Onyeka Gamero scored her second goal of the season.
SPORTING JAX’S BAYLEE DESMIT CONTINUES FAST START
Sporting Club Jacksonville forward Baylee DeSmit found the net once again in the club’s loss at Brooklyn FC, giving her five goals in five appearances to start the 2026 Fall Season. DeSmit’s five goals in five appearances trail only current teammate Ashlyn Puerta for the most goals in the opening five appearances of a season, with Puerta having logged six goals in five games to start the 2025/26 season.

TAMPA BAY SUN FC TAKE AIM AT THREE-GAME WINNING STREAK
Tampa Bay Sun FC visits DC Power FC on Friday night at Audi Field looking for its first three-game winning streak in more than a year as it looks to continue its strong start to the season. The Sun’s last three-game regular season winning streak came between April 5-18, 2025 as the side surged toward claiming the Super League’s inaugural title that spring.
CAROLINA ASCENT’S SYDNEY MARTINEZ APPROACHES TWO LANDMARKS
Carolina Ascent FC goalkeeper Sydney Martinez enters Saturday night’s contest at home to Brooklyn FC on 96 saves and 14 shutouts in the Super League’s regular season. Martinez is on course to be only the third goalkeeper to record 100 saves and the second to log 15 shutouts in Super League history, joining Hope Hisey (156 saves, 19 shutouts) and Morgan Aquino (107 saves).
SPORTING JAX, LEXINGTON SC AIM TO REBOUND
The top two teams in the 2025/26 Super League regular season will try to get back in the win column on Sunday evening when Sporting Club Jacksonville hosts Lexington SC after both sides suffered defeat in Week 5. Lexington was the lone club to post a winning regular season record against Jacksonville in the 2025/26 season, going 2-1-0, as the sides finished 1-2 in the standings and 1-2 in goals with Jacksonville notching 54 goals and Lexington 50 in the regular season.

- Tampa Bay Sun FC took a 2-1 victory against Fort Lauderdale United FC last Saturday night in its home opener as Tori Zierenberg and Shea Connors rallied the side from a halftime deficit.
- The Power will try to claim their first home win of the season on Friday night, with both the club’s victories this season having come away from home. DC has won only four of its 30 games on home turf in its Super League history.

- Dallas Trinity FC heads on the road after earning its second consecutive win with a 2-1 result against DC Power FC on Sunday evening at the Cotton Bowl as Onyeka Gamero and Jasmine Hamid both found the net.
- Fort Lauderdale’s Sh’nia Gordon logged her 60th regular season appearance for the club, one of four players to have reached the mark in the league’s history for a single team. Her goal against Tampa Bay was the eighth of her Super League career.
- Dallas Trinity’s Jasmine Hamid scored her third goal of the season against DC Power to move to 20 goal contributions in the Super League’s regular season. Hamid has recorded 16 goals and four assists in 57 regular season appearances.
- Friday night could mark Jasmine Hamid’s first game at Amerant Bank Field against Fort Lauderdale United FC since her transfer to Dallas Trinity FC last April. Hamid recorded an assist on May 16 during Trinity’s 4-0 victory at the Cotton Bowl in her first encounter against her former club.
- The winning side has scored four goals in each of the past three meetings between Fort Lauderdale and Dallas. FTL UTD took a 4-1 win against Trinity on Sept. 12, 2025 before Dallas took consecutive 4-0 wins on February 7 and May 16 earlier this year.
- Fort Lauderdale United’s Kiara Locklear has recorded three goals in five prior appearances against Dallas Trinity FC.

- Lexington SC heads on the road for the first time this season after suffering a 1-0 loss to Carolina Ascent FC last Friday night, the second consecutive loss for the defending Super League titleholders.
- Jacksonville’s Baylee DeSmit notched her Super League-leading fifth goal of the season against Brooklyn, giving her five in five appearances this campaign. DeSmit has now scored 17 regular season goals for Jacksonville, one behind Carolina Ascent FC’s Mia Corbin for the most for a single club in the Super League.
- Lexington’s loss to Carolina marked the first time the club had suffered consecutive defeats in the regular season since losses to Sporting JAX (Feb. 21) and Dallas Trinity FC (March 8) earlier this season. The club’s last longer losing streak was a four-game run between April 26-May 15, 2025.
- Lexington was the lone side to record a winning record against Jacksonville in the 2025/26 regular season, going 2-1-0 in the series. In their most recent contest, LSC took a 2-1 win on April 24 behind goals from Addie McCain and McKenzie Weinert.
