Head Coach Ciara Crinion names 21-player squad for 2026 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco
ATLANTA – Five players from the Gainbridge Super League and USL W League have been selected in the United States U-17 Women’s National Team squad that will compete at the 2026 FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup in Morocco.
Dallas Trinity FC’s Meila Brewer, Snohomish United’s Maddie Maves, Oakland Soul SC’s Venina Moodie, Santa Clarita Blue Heat’s Mia Corona and Morris Elite SC’s Amari Manning were named by U-17s Head Coach Ciara Crinion for the tournament, where the United States faces China, Kenya and Samoa in the group stage in Salé, Morocco.
Brewer is the lone pro signing selected in the squad, with the 17-year-old center back having previously competed collegiately for UCLA. Brewer has logged two appearances for Trinity this season, winning 11 of 13 duels and 4 of 5 tackles and completing 156 of 174 passes across 180 minutes of action.
She’s joined in the squad’s defensive contingent by Snohomish’s Maves, who made eight appearances and logged 514 minutes for United during the 2026 W League season to help the side finish second in the Northwest Division, and Oakland’s Moodie, who recorded two assists as she logged nine appearances and 745 minutes of action for the Soul.
Santa Clarita’s Corona is part of the side’s midfield group coming off a summer where she recorded three goals in seven appearances for the Blue Heat, logging 454 minutes of action to help the side finish second in the SoCal Division.
Manning is part of the squad’s forward group after recording three goals and one assist in just 229 minutes across five appearances for Morris Elite during the past W League campaign as the side finished second in the Metropolitan Division.
Also joining the group is Lexington SC midfielder Bridget Kopmeyer, who will be a training player in the squad’s pre-tournament camp in Morocco.
The United States kicks off its tournament against Samoa on Monday, Oct. 19 before facing Kenya on Thursday, Oct. 22 and completing group stage play against China on Sunday, Oct. 25.
