Gainbridge Super League duo headed to California for camp alongside U.S. Women’s National Team, joined by six USL W League standouts
ATLANTA – Dallas Trinity FC midfielder Lexi Missimo and Sporting Club Jacksonville’s Ashlyn Puerta have been selected to the U.S. Women’s National Team Development Camp that begins on Saturday in California, giving the two Gainbridge Super League standouts the opportunity to train alongside the U.S. Women’s National Team during the opening stint of the weeklong camp.
Puerta heads to Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. having produced a remarkable first half of the 2025/26 season with 11 goals in 13 appearances for current league-leaders Sporting JAX. The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has averaged a goal every 96.6 minutes this season while also notching a pair of assists, with her 11 tallies putting her only three off the Super League’s single-season scoring record entering the spring campaign.
Missimo earns her second consecutive invitation to the camp, having recent returned to action with Trinity after a stint on the sidelines with injury. The 22-year-old has notched one goal in three appearances in the Super League this season, producing the game-winner in Trinity’s 1-0 win against Carolina Ascent FC on December 13 that helped the side sit in the playoff positions entering the second half of the season.
The squad, led by USWNT U-23s Head Coach Heather Dyche, also features a collection of players who competed in the USL W League during the 2025 season, including a trio of players from the Utah United side that won the league title this past summer. Forwards Lilliah Blum and Seven Castain – both of whom scored in Utah’s 4-0 victory against NC Courage U23 – are named in the squad alongside midfielder Bella Devey.
Also selected are defenders Natalie Bain (Kings Hammer FC – Cincinnati) and Ally Brown (Tennessee SC), and midfielder Charlotte Kohler (Oakland Soul).
