Sporting JAX took over the top spot in the league standings after earning its seventh win of the season. JAX is the first team to dethrone undefeated Lexington SC since Week 10.
NO HELP NEEDED
Dallas’ Chioma Ubogagu scored the equalizer against Lexington from a direct free kick just outside the box. It was her second free kick goal and the eighth in league history. No other player has more than one.
STELLAR SUBSTITUTES
Sporting JAX’s Katie Sullivan scored the go-ahead goal against Tampa Bay in the 63rd minute after entering the match at halftime. She is the first player in league history to score off the bench in back-to-back matches.
Additionally, Andrea Fernández also scored for Sporting JAX a minute after entering the match. Sullivan and Fernández are just the second teammate duo to both score in the same match as substitutes. Dallas’ Cyera Hintzen and Gracie Brian were the first to do so on November 9, 2024.
JAX ASSISTS
Paige Kenton recorded two assists in the 3-1 win over the Sun, tying her with her teammate Meg Hughes for the most assists in the league at five.
SNAPPED THE STREAK
Lena Silano recorded a goal and an assist and Cameron Tucker and Felicia Knox scored their first goals of the season in Spokane’s first-ever win against Fort Lauderdale. It was the most goals Spokane had scored in a match all season, and it ended a six-match winless streak dating back to October 12.
