
Sporting Club Jacksonville continued to rack up single-season records, while results elsewhere helped the league-leaders move closer to clinching the Players’ Shield before the month is done, after what could prove a pivotal weekend of results in the playoff race both for seeding and a place in the four-team field.

Lexington did plenty right against Carolina, dominating possession and territory, but couldn’t turn it into a decisive moment.
