With wins in Week 27, Carolina Ascent FC and Lexington SC have both clinched a spot in the 2026 Gainbridge Super League Playoffs. Only one spot remains available to complete the four-team field with Sporting Club Jacksonville having previously clinched a berth.

Fort Lauderdale United FC has signed FIFA World Cup Champion and legendary United States Women’s National Team midfielder Allie Long. A women’s soccer veteran, Long brings more than 15 years of experience and 51 international caps to South Florida.
BARRY MAKES HISTORY
Lexington SC’s Catherine Barry set a new single-season record for goals on Sunday evening, moving to 15 goals this season after recording a hat trick in LSC’s 4-0 victory against Tampa Bay Sun FC. The previous mark was 13 goals by Dallas Trinity FC’s Allie Thornton in the league’s inaugural 2024/25 campaign.
Barry’s hat trick was the fifth in the Gainbridge Super League’s history, and the second this season following Ashlyn Puerta for Sporting Club Jacksonville against Carolina Ascent FC on Sept. 28, 2025. Barry’s hat trick was also the second-fastest in league history, coming in a span of 15 minutes, 6 seconds. Only Brooklyn FC’s Luana Grabias has recorded a quicker hat trick, completing hers in 13 minutes, 6 seconds against DC Power FC on Nov. 13, 2024 at Audi Field.
LEXINGTON BREAKS TAMPA BAY HEX
Lexington SC’s 4-0 victory against Tampa Bay Sun FC on Saturday evening was LSC’s first in the series between the clubs, with Tampa Bay now 4-1-1 against Lexington all-time. Lexington has now recorded at least one victory against every team in the Gainbridge Super League.
ASCENT’S MARTÍNEZ REACHES DOUBLE-DIGIT SHUTOUTS
Carolina Ascent FC goalkeeper Sydney Martínez recorded her 10th regular season shutout in the Gainbridge Super League on Sunday evening, posting a six-save performance in her side’s 1-0 victory against Dallas Trinity FC. The Puerto Rico international has recorded six shutouts in eight appearances since making her debut for Ascent on February 21, coinciding with the club’s current eight-game undefeated streak.
Martínez is the third goalkeeper to reach double-digit shutouts in league history after Spokane Zephyr FC’s Hope Hisey (16) and Sporting Club Jacksonville’s Kaitlyn Parks (10).
CAROLINA’S BAISDEN DELIVERS LATE WINNER
Carolina Ascent FC’s Rylee Baisden scored an 89th-minute winner against Dallas Trinity FC on Sunday evening, becoming the second substitute to score the game-winning goal in Ascent’s past two games after Emily Morris’ winner against Lexington SC on April 11. Carolina is now tied for second in the league with six goals by substitutes overall this season, trailing only Brooklyn FC’s seven goals.

- Lexington SC heads on the road following a 4-0 victory against Tampa Bay Sun FC on Saturday evening that saw the side take its first win all-time against Tampa Bay and close the gap to first-place Jacksonville to four points with four games remaining.
- Lexington’s Cat Barry recorded the fifth hat trick in Super League history against Tampa Bay to move to 15 goals this season, setting the league’s single-season goalscoring record. Barry is now four goals ahead of Jacksonville’s Ashlyn Puerta in the race for the Golden Boot this season.
- Sporting JAX has responded well to setbacks previously this season and is yet to lose consecutive games in its inaugural season. Overall, Jacksonville has gone 3-0-1 following its prior four defeats in the campaign.
- Jacksonville and Lexington are the two highest-scoring teams in the league this season with Sporting JAX leading the league with 49 goals and Lexington sitting on 44 goals entering Saturday’s contest. - Brooklyn FC returns to action after taking a 3-0 victory against Dallas Trinity FC in its last outing on April 12 that saw Rebecca Cooke score a pair of goals and Sam Kroeger record a pair of assists at Maimonides Park.
- Dallas Trinity FC returns to Brooklyn for the second time this month having suffered a 1-0 defeat against Carolina Ascent FC on Sunday evening in its most recent outing. Trinity has lost four of its past five outings overall to see its advantage in fourth place in the standing shrink to three points.
- BKFC’s victory against Trinity was its first at home since last November, with the side’s three goals equaling its season-high in a single game. Brooklyn has recorded three goals on five occasions during the 2025/26 campaign, twice at home and three times on the road.
- Dallas Trinity has been held scoreless in each of its past two outings, marking the first time this season the side has gone scoreless in consecutive games. Dallas has been held scoreless only six times overall this season, tied for second-fewest in the league this season.

- Carolina Ascent FC earned a 1-0 victory away at Dallas Trinity FC in its most recent outing on Sunday evening to clinch a second consecutive trip to the Gainbridge Super League Playoffs.
- Tampa Bay’s loss to Lexington last Saturday night marked the first time the side had conceded four goals in a game in club history, with the Sun previously having conceded three goals in a game on six occasions.
- Carolina’s Rylee Baisden scored Ascent’s game-winner to extend its undefeated streak to eight games with the goal moving Baisden into the team-lead with five goals this season. - Fort Lauderdale United FC will head to Spokane following its Wednesday night contest against DC Power FC at Audi Field.
- Tori Zierenberg’s goal and assist against Sporting Club Jacksonville marked the second time this season the 23-year-old recorded a goal and assist in the same game. Zierenberg previously did so in Spokane’s 3-0 victory against Brooklyn FC on March 14 at ONE Spokane Stadium.
- Zephyr’s Lena Silano (12/20/25 at FTL) and Ginger Fontenot (3/14/26) had each also previously recorded one goal, one assist games this season, a feat that had only been accomplished by Emina Ekic during Spokane’s inaugural season.
- Spokane goalkeeper Hope Hisey enters Sunday’s contest on 149 regular season saves in the Super League. The 24-year-old is set to become the first player in league history to reach 150 saves having already set a single-season record this campaign with 79 saves as an ever-present in the Zephyr lineup.
- Fort Lauderdale United holds a 2-1-3 lead in the series all-time with each side having taken victory on the road in their prior two meetings of the 2025/26 season.
