In terms of intrigue, there’s plenty going into the final day of the 2025/26 Gainbridge Super League regular season. Victories for Lexington SC and Carolina Ascent FC over the past weekend mean both the Players’ Shield and No. 2 seed are still up for grabs, while Dallas Trinity FC and Spokane Zephyr FC are both in contention for the final postseason berth after confidence-boosting victories.

Win against Tampa Bay and there’s an eager wait to see if Ascent can spin the Players’ Shield their way, lose and there’s the nervous wait to see if Jacksonville can earn a result on the road and keep LSC in the No. 2 slot. |

Jacksonville has just about righted the ship with consecutive one-goal wins to set itself up to win the Players’ Shield and No. 1 seed in the playoffs with just a draw away at Carolina. Sporting JAX should know the result from Lexington shortly before kickoff, but we expect they’ll want to put on a strong showing regardless to build momentum into the playoffs. |

After the struggles the side had at home previously this season, Zephyr has hit its stride at ONE Spokane Stadium at just the right moment. Playing the opening game of the day on Saturday, Spokane can ramp up the pressure on Dallas Trinity FC with a victory against Brooklyn, and will then sit and wait to see if it has done enough to earn a playoff spot. |
