2026 Fall Season Week 1 Power Rankings

The 2026 Gainbridge Super League Fall season is officially underway, and the opening week delivered dominant performances, late-game drama and plenty of early storylines across the Gainbridge Super League. From the reigning champions making a statement at home to historic milestones, debut performances and last-minute goals, the first week provided an early glimpse at what could shape the season ahead. 

With Week 1 in the books, here’s how all eight clubs stack up in the first power rankings of the Fall season.

1		Lexington SC (1-0-0) Week 2: ---	Last Week: 1	The reigning champions opened their title defense in dominant fashion, cruising to a 3-0 victory against Brooklyn FC. Reigning Golden Boot winner Catherine Barry opened the scoring before Addie McCain struck two and a half minutes later, with Hannah White sealing the win in the 81st minute. McCain became the first player in league history to reach 20 regular-season goals in the affair.
2		Carolina Ascent FC (1-0-0) Week 2: @ DAL	Last Week: 2	Mia Corbin delivered the lone goal in Carolina’s 1-0 victory over DC Power FC, moving her into a tie for second place on the league’s all-time scoring list. Sydney Martinez made seven saves and kept a clean sheet in goal as Carolina extended its unbeaten run against DC to nine matches, with seven wins and two draws.
3		Sporting JAX (1-0-0) Week 2: vs. TB	Last Week: 3	Baylee DeSmit delivered a late winner in the 88th minute, continuing her scoring streak against Fort Lauderdale to three consecutive meetings. The victory also marked Sporting JAX’s first-ever win in a season-opening match.
4		Dallas Trinity FC (0-0-1) Week 2: vs. CAR	Last Week: 4	Newcomer Seven Castain made an immediate impact for Dallas Trinity, scoring her first Gainbridge Super League goal. Eleven players made their club debuts, setting the stage for a new-look Trinity side to begin its campaign.
5		Tampa Bay Sun FC (0-0-1) Week 2: @ JAX	Last Week: 5	Tori Zierenberg rescued a point for Tampa Bay in the 93nd minute, scoring in her club debut to cap a dramatic opening-day finish. Six other players made their Sun debuts as Tampa introduced a heavily revamped squad.
6		DC Power FC (0-1-0) Week 2: @ BKN	Last Week: 6	Despite falling to Carolina, DC Power showed plenty of promise by controlling 53.9% of possession and outshooting the Ascent 21-13. Katie Cappelleti made seven saves in her DC debut, while Kayla Colbert nearly rescued a point in the 82nd minute before her would-be equalizer was ruled offside.
7		Fort Lauderdale United FC (0-1-0) Week 2: ---	1 Last Week: 8	Fort Lauderdale generated several promising attacking chances through Emily Thompson, Kiara Locklear and Grace Cutler but couldn't find the finish in a scoreless opening half. FTL nearly broke through in stoppage time, but the loss extended its all-time record against Sporting JAX to 0-4-1.
8		Brooklyn FC (0-1-0) Week 2: vs. DC	1 Last Week: 7	Brooklyn FC fell to Lexington for the fifth consecutive meeting, with the reigning champions once again proving difficult to break down. Newly named captain Bre Norris made two saves, while Ashlyn Miller had Brooklyn's best chance in first-half stoppage time when her effort sailed just over the bar.
