CAROLINA ASCENT’S SYDNEY MARTINEZ HITS 15 SHUTOUTS LANDMARK
Carolina Ascent FC goalkeeper Sydney Martinez had a quiet night on Saturday night as her side took a 1-0 win against Brooklyn FC at American Legion Memorial Stadium without allowing a shot on target, but the shutout marked Martinez’s 15th in the Super League regular season. She joins current teammate Hope Hisey as the lone two goalkeepers to have reached the landmark in league history.
DALLAS TRINITY NOTCHES THREE-GAME WINNING STREAK
Dallas Trinity FC took its third consecutive victory with a 2-1 win against Fort Lauderdale United FC on Friday night at Amerant Bank Field as Jasmine Hamid and Felicia Knox each scored against their former club. Trinity’s three-game winning streak matches the longest of the current season and is the club’s first run of three consecutive wins since Nov. 15-Dec. 13, 2025. Trinity could equal its longest winning streak in club history of four games when it visits Lexington SC on Friday night.
LEXINGTON SC MAINTAINS UPPER HAND ON SPORTING JAX
McKenzie Weinert scored the only goal as Lexington SC took its second win of the regular season with a 1-0 win against Sporting Club Jacksonville on Sunday evening at Hodges Stadium. The defending Super League title-winners are the lone side to have a record above .500 against Jacksonville in their all-time series, now sitting with a 3-1-0 mark and +1 goal differential in the four meetings between the clubs.
CAROLINA’S MIA CORBIN REACHES 25 GOAL CONTRIBUTIONS
Carolina Ascent FC standout Mia Corbin became only the second player in Super League regular season history to reach 25 goal contributions with her assist on Shea Groom’s goal against Brooklyn FC on Saturday night. Corbin (18G, 7A) joins Lexington SC’s Addie McCain, who is on 26 goal contributions following her assist against Sporting Club Jacksonville on Sunday evening, and is the first player to reach the mark for a single club.
TAMPA BAY’S CONNORS, DALLAS’ HAMID CONTINUE STRONG STARTS
Tampa Bay Sun FC forward Shea Connors and Dallas Trinity FC’s Jasmine Hamid continued their strong starts of the season by each bagging their fourth goals of the campaign on Friday night. Connors opened the scoring for Tampa Bay in its 1-1 draw away at DC Power FC, while Hamid struck early in the second half in Dallas’ 2-1 win at Fort Lauderdale United FC, finding the net in her first trip back to Amerant Bank Field since her spring transfer to Dallas.
WEEK 7 STORYLINES
DC POWER TAKES AIM AT FIRST HOME WIN OF CAMPAIGN
DC Power FC and Fort Lauderdale United FC kick off Week 7 in a Tuesday matinee at Audi Field with the Power still looking for their first home win of the campaign. The Power are winless in their last five home league outings, and most recently took victory at home against Fort Lauderdale on April 22 with a 4-0 result. It marks one of only four wins the side has taken in 31 regular season home games in its Super League history.
CAROLINA ASCENT, SPORTING JAX SQUARE OFF FOR FIRST TIME SINCE POSTSEASON
Carolina Ascent FC and Sporting Club Jacksonville will meet for the first time since Carolina ended both Jacksonville’s bid to claim the Super League Players’ Shield in its inaugural season and its postseason the following week when the sides play at American Legion Memorial Stadium on Saturday night. Ascent’s 3-1 win on the final day of the 2025/26 regular season allowed Lexington SC to claim the players’ Shield on goal differential ahead of Sporting JAX, and the following weekend Mackenzie George’s goal lifted Carolina to a 1-0 win in the Semifinals of the Super League Playoffs.
DALLAS TRINITY TAKES AIM AT CLUB RECORD AT LEXINGTON SC
Lexington SC and Dallas Trinity FC will also meet for the first time since the playoff semifinals in May with Trinity aiming to equal a club record on Friday night as it enters on a three-game winning streak. Trinity previously recorded a four-game regular season winning streak between May 31-Sept. 6, 2025, bridging the 2024/25 and 2025/26 regular seasons. Dallas is 5-2-2 all-time against Lexington, with LSC having taken a 2-0 win when the sides met in the Semifinals on May 22, breaking a three-game undefeated run for Dallas in the series.

- DC Power FC will try to break a three-game winless streak after earning a 1-1 draw against Tampa Bay Sun FC on Friday night at Audi Field to remain in fourth place in the Super League standings.
- Fort Lauderdale United FC is on a three-game losing streak after falling 2-1 at home to Dallas Trinity FC on Friday night to sit in seventh place in the Super League standings.
- The Power rallied to earn a point as substitute Emma Jaskianec scored 54 seconds after coming off the bench to level off an assist by fellow sub Alyssa Walker against Tampa Bay for her second goal of the campaign.

- Dallas Trinity FC is aiming to add to a three-game winning streak after taking a 2-1 victory on the road against Fort Lauderdale United FC on Friday night that saw Felicia Knox and Jasmine Hamid both find the net.
- McKenzie Weinert’s second-half goal lifted Lexington to victory as the side broke a two-game losing streak. It marked Weinert’s first goal since the Super League Final in May, when she scored the equalizer in LSC’s comeback victory.
- Dallas forward Jasmine Hamid scored in her third consecutive outing after finding the net against former club Fort Lauderdale United. Hamid’s four goals this season are currently tied for second in the Golden Boot race.

- Sporting Club Jacksonville suffered its second consecutive defeat on Sunday evening as it fell 1-0 against Lexington SC at Hodges Stadium but remained in second place in the Super League standings.
- Carolina’s Mia Corbin recorded the assist on Shea Groom’s game-winner against Brooklyn to move to 25 goal contributions in the Super League’s regular season. Corbin has logged 18 goals and seven assists for Carolina in her career, with two goals and two assists in six appearances this season.
- Jacksonville’s 1-0 loss to Lexington marked the first time the side had been held scoreless in a regular season contest since a 1-0 defeat to DC Power FC on February 7 at Hodges Stadium, breaking a run of 17 games with a goal in regular season play.
