CAROLINA ASCENT, SPORTING JAX DELIVER SIX-GOAL THRILLER
Carolina Ascent FC and Sporting Club Jacksonville played to a 3-3 draw on Saturday night at American Legion Memorial Stadium as the six-goal thriller equaled the mark for the highest-scoring draw in Gainbridge Super League history. The contest marked the sixth 3-3 draw in Super League all-time, most recently occurring in the draw between Fort Lauderdale United FC and Brooklyn FC on February 13, 2026.
Carolina and Jacksonville’s six combined goals were tied for the fifth-most in a Super League game all-time, with the record of eight goals coming in Dallas Trinity FC’s 6-2 victory against Lexington SC at the Cotton Bowl on September 13, 2024.
SPORTING JAX’S BAYLEE DESMIT CONTINUES HOT SCORING PACE
Sporting Club Jacksonville’s Baylee DeSmit moved to seven goals in seven games to start the 2026 Gainbridge Super League Fall Season with a pair of goals in her side’s 3-3 draw against Carolina Ascent FC. DeSmit’s run surpassed both Ashlyn Puerta and Addie McCain for the most goals in the opening seven appearances of a season. McCain recorded six goals in seven games for Fort Lauderdale United FC to open the 2025/26 campaign, while Puerta equaled her mark for Jacksonville in the 2025/26 season.

DC POWER CLAIMS FIRST HOME WIN OF SEASON AS THOMASON STRIKES TWICE
DC Power FC took a 2-1 victory against Fort Lauderdale United FC as forward Tatum Thomason scored her first two goals in the Gainbridge Super League after coming on as a second-half substitute at Audi Field. Thomason became the fourth player to record two goals as a substitute in the Super League’s history, and the third to do so for DC Power following Allie Flanagan against Lexington SC in a 2-1 win on October 25, 2024 and Loza Abera in a 3-2 win against Dallas Trinity FC on May 8, 2025.

LEXINGTON’S BARRY, JACKSONVILLE’S DESMIT CONTINUE BRACE DUEL
Lexington SC’s Catherine Barry recorded her first two-goal game of the 2026 Gainbridge Super League Fall Season on Friday night to help lead the side to a 3-0 victory against Dallas Trinity FC, marking the fifth brace of her Super League career. Sporting Club Jacksonville’s Baylee DeSmit then notched a two-goal game in Jacksonville’s 3-3 draw against Carolina Ascent FC on Saturday night, also notching her fifth brace in the Super League.
Barry and DeSmit remain tied for the league’s all-time lead with five braces apiece, with both players entering the upcoming week on 19 goals as they take aim at becoming the second players to reach 20 regular season tallies alongside Lexington SC’s Addie McCain (21 goals).
CAROLINA’S JILL AGUILERA BECOMES FIRST DEFENDER TO REACH 20 GOAL CONTRIBUTIONS
Carolina Ascent FC defender Jill Aguilera recorded a goal and an assist in her side’s 3-3 draw against Sporting Club Jacksonville on Saturday night to move to 21 goal contributions in the Gainbridge Super League’s regular season. Aguilera has recorded eight goals and 13 assists in 62 appearances. Tampa Bay Sun FC’s Sabrina McNeil ranks second among defenders for goal contributions among defenders in the Super League’s history with nine (3G, 6A).

LEXINGTON SC’S CATHERINE BARRY TAKES AIM AT 20 GOAL MARK
Lexington SC forward Catherine Barry enters her side’s contest against Tampa Bay Sun FC on Sunday evening (5 p.m. ET | Peacock) with 19 regular season goals in the Super League. The 2025/26 Golden Boot winner could become the first player to reach 20 regular season goals with a single club, and the second player to record 20 regular season goals in the Super League’s history after current teammate Addie McCain.
TAMPA BAY SUN FC AIMS TO BUILD ON UNDEFEATED STREAK IN TITLE-WINNERS MATCHUP
Inaugural Gainbridge Super League title-winner Tampa Bay Sun FC plays host to current title-holder Lexington SC on Sunday evening with the Sun looking to build on a three-game undefeated streak. The Sun are 2-0-1 in their past three outings and are looking for their first undefeated streak of at least four games since a seven-game run between Sept. 20-Nov. 22, 2025.
Tampa Bay will also be looking to break a three-game winless streak against Lexington, with LSC having gone 2-0-1 against the Sun in the 2025/26 season. Should the Sun claim all three points, it would be their first victory against Lexington since a 3-0 result on May 9, 2025.
BROOKLYN FC, FORT LAUDERDALE UNITED SET FOR FIRST REMATCH OF 2026 FALL SCHEDULE
Brooklyn FC and Fort Lauderdale United FC will meet on Friday night at Maimonides Park in the first return fixture of the 2026 Gainbridge Super League Fall Season. FTL UTD took victory when the sides met at Amerant Bank Field on August 28 when Nicole Vernis scored the only goal 28 seconds into the second half to earn the hosts a 1-0 victory. The result moved Fort Lauderdale to a 4-2-2 all-time record against Brooklyn. FTL UTD is undefeated in their past four meetings, with BKFC looking for its first win in the series since a 4-1 result on May 2, 2025.
