TAMPA BAY’S CONNORS SETS RECORD FOR CONSECUTIVE GAMES WITH GOAL
Tampa Bay Sun FC forward Shea Connors set a Gainbridge Super League record with her fifth consecutive game with a goal on Sunday evening against Lexington SC, surpassing the mark previously achieved by Baylee DeSmit (Sporting Club Jacksonville, 2025/26), Paige Kenton (Sporting Club Jacksonville, 2025/26) and Jasmine Hamid (Fort Lauderdale United FC, 2024/25).
Connors’ five goals in six games this season are currently second to DeSmit, who has seven goals in seven appearances, in the race for the Gainbridge Super League Fall Season’s Golden Boot.
TAMPA BAY SUN FC, LEXINGTON SC END ALL SQUARE
Tampa Bay Sun FC extended its undefeated streak to four games while Lexington SC moved into the top four in the Gainbridge Super League standings as the sides played to a 1-1 draw on Sunday evening at Suncoast Credit Union Field with Shea Connors’ opening goal for the hosts marking her fifth consecutive game with a goal. Addie McCain leveled for the defending titleholders, who are now six points behind league-leader Carolina Ascent with one game in hand.
BROOKLYN FC EARNS VICTORY AGAINST FORT LAUDERDALE UNITED
Brooklyn FC earned its second win of the 2026 Gainbridge Super League Fall Season with a 1-0 victory against Fort Lauderdale United FC on Friday night at Maimonides Park. Carlee Giamonna scored the winner with 14 minutes to play, marking her first goal for BKFC. It also marked her fourth against Fort Lauderdale in her Super League career, the most against any club in Giamonna’s career.
FORT LAUDERDALE UNITED PARTS WAYS WITH TYRONE MEARS
Fort Lauderdale United FC announced on Tuesday it had parted ways with Head Coach Tyrone Mears, with Paul Jennison to take charge as interim Head Coach beginning with the club’s contest against Lexington SC on Sunday evening. Returning to the sidelines this season having previously led FTL UTD to the Gainbridge Super League Final in the 2024/25 season, Mears departed the club with an overall record of 15-15-11 across the regular season and playoffs.

LEXINGTON’S CATHERINE BARRY TAKES AIM AT 20-GOAL MARK
Lexington SC’s Catherine Barry enters the weekend on 19 regular season goals in the Gainbridge Super League. With her next goal, she would become the first player to record 20 regular season goals for a single club in the league’s history. Barry has three goals in four appearances against Fort Lauderdale.
TAMPA BAY SUN LOOK FOR SEASON SWEEP AGAINST CAROLINA ASCENT
Tampa Bay Sun FC (2-1-3, 9pts) will host Carolina Ascent FC (5-1-1, 16pts) on Saturday night looking to extend its four-game undefeated streak while also aiming to complete a season sweep of the current Super League leaders. Tampa Bay took a 2-1 victory against Carolina when the sides met on August 29 via goals by Shea Connors and Sydny Nasello, a result that currently stands as the lone defeat of the season for Ascent.
BROOKLYN FC LOOKS TO BUILD ON WIN AGAINST DALLAS TRINITY
Brooklyn FC (2-5-0, 6pts) will try to build on its victory last time out when it hosts Dallas Trinity FC (3-3-1, 10pts), which returns to action after having its three-game winning streak broken prior to its bye in Week 8. Trinity claimed a 3-0 victory when the sides met on September 5 as Onyeka Gamero, Seven Castain and Jasmine Hamid all found the net in what served as the first win of Head Coach Lee Nguyen’s tenure with Dallas.
FORT LAUDERDALE UNITED LOOKS FOR RESPONSE UNDER PAUL JENNISON
Paul Jennison will begin his second stint as interim Head Coach of Fort Lauderdale United FC (1-6-0, 3pts) as it plays host to defending titleholder Lexington SC (3-2-1, 10pts) on Sunday night at Amerant Bank Field. Jennison previously served as interim Head Coach for the club during the 2025/26 season, going 1-9-2 to close the regular season.
