Carolina Ascent named Organization of the Year; Dallas’s Charlie Neil named Executive of the Year

After an exciting ending to the inaugural season, the USL Super League has announced the 2025/26 End of Year Business Awards.
Carolina Ascent FC has been named the first-ever recipient of the USL Super League Organization of the Year. The honor is awarded to one club in recognition of their outstanding accomplishments and performance both on and off the field during the inaugural season.
Carolina achieved incredible heights in their first campaign, winning the 2024/25 Players’ Shield after posting a league-best record during the regular season, accumulating 48 points. The club also led the league in attendance, averaging over 4,000 fans per game and setting an attendance record for women’s soccer in the Carolinas with a sold-out crowd of 10,553 during the inaugural weekend. As an organization, Carolina ranked in the top two across many key business categories in the League.

Co-founder and President of Dallas Trinity FC Charlie Neil has been named the league’s inaugural Executive of the Year. The honor is awarded to one club executive in recognition of their leadership and impact on their individual club, their community, and the USL Super League.
Under Neil’s leadership, Dallas had an outstanding inaugural season kicking off with a friendly against global powerhouse FC Barcelona Femeni at Historic Cotton Bowl Stadium last October, the first ever women’s professional club soccer match played in Dallas. Neil led the organization to win Visit Dallas’ “Can Do” Spirit Award for Sports and helped establish relationships with nearly a dozen proud community partners in support of the city’s first ever women’s professional soccer club. On the field, the team boasted a 12-9-7 record, clinching a playoff berth by finishing third in the regular season standings.
