Three new teams enter the top four after debut wins

Opening weekend of the 2025/26 season did not disappoint. Every single team found the back of the net, there were come-from-behind wins, players scored against their former teams. What more could you ask for? Here’s our top four teams headlining Week 1 of the Power Rankings:

Brooklyn came out swinging and set the tone for its second campaign in its season opener, defeating reigning champs Tampa Bay 2-1 to maintain an undefeated record against the Sun (3-0-2). Brooklyn showed its attacking prowess in the second half, with forward Catherine Zimmerman scoring a volley in the 53rd minute and defender Annie Williams doubling the lead less than a minute after entering the match. |

Saturday was one of DC Power’s best performances since early spring of last season. Despite conceding first in the opening minutes, Power FC took control of the match after Gianna Gourley scored the equalizer just before halftime. The away side found its stride in the second 45, with Gourley finding the back of the net once again for the first brace of the season, as well as a goal from Jaydah Bedoya to secure a 3-1 victory over expansion side Sporting JAX in its league debut. |

Dallas Trinity earned redemption from its last encounter at home against Spokane, securing a 2-1 victory to end Zephyr’s five-match undefeated streak. Dallas showed its grit in the come-from-behind win with second half goals from Wayny Balata and Allie Thornton. |

The offseason moves proved to be successful for Lexington SC, which earned a 3-3 road draw against Fort Lauderdale United FC. Summer transfers Addie McCain, McKenzie Weinert and Allison Pantuso scored in the second half to erase Lexington’s two-goal deficit, with the result bringing home a point. |
