DC Power showcased its fortitude on the pitch this weekend, starting off its home opener strong with a first-half goal from Emily Colton and kept its intensity for the entirety of the match despite conceding. DC’s perseverance paid off, with the Power ultimately finding a 76th minute equalizer through defender and summer transfer Sydney Cummings to bring home a point in a 2-2 draw against Spokane Zephyr—remaining undefeated so far this season. |

It was a historic day for Sporting JAX on Saturday, with the away side defeating reigning league champions Tampa Bay Sun at home in a stunning 3-2 victory in the first-ever encounter between the two sides. After a scoreless first half, Sporting JAX showed its immense attacking prowess in the latter 45, with a 50th minute goal from Meg Hughes and a subsequent brace from Ashlyn Puerta to earn JAX’s first win of its inaugural campaign in the Gainbridge Super League. |
