On a Roll: Jasmine Hamid recorded an assist in her second straight match.
QUOTES:
FTL UTD Head Coach Tyrone Mears:
On the big win... “I think from the start, it’s a new team, a new way of playing, so it takes time. Obviously, you want to win every game while you’re doing that, but I think my real focus is the second half of the season. We want to pick up as many points now, but I know second half of the season… in terms of the players being confident in how we want to play and really knowing exactly what they need to do.”
Spokane Zephyr Head Coach Jo Johnson:
On tonight’s loss…“We didn’t execute well enough in the critical plays in the box on either end of the field. In a league where most games are decided by one goal, those key moments made the difference, and our execution fell short.”
Spokane Zephyr goalscorer Mollie Rouse:
On scoring her first professional goal… “I am super happy to score my first goal for the club, it’s something I have been working toward,” Rouse said. “We are obviously disappointed with the final result and will work hard to put things right in our next game against Tampa. Lots more to come from us!”
GOALS:
Carlee Giammona (TB, OWN GOAL) 66’.
Allie Thornton (DAL) 68’.
STORYLINES:
Sixth: Allie Thornton netted her team-leading sixth goal of the season.
Second: The victory propelled Dallas into second place in the standings.
Home Sweet Home: Dallas remains unbeaten at home.
QUOTES:
Dallas Trinity Head Coach Pauline MacDonald:
On the victory… “We knew that both teams liked to play a tactical game. It was going to be about concentration, decision-making, and staying in the game as long as we could. In the second half, we tweaked a few things and talked a little bit more about decision making in the final third and being more aggressive in our press. We asked for ninety minutes of high concentration on both sides of the ball. All in all, I’m absolutely delighted for the players.”
FALL FINALE
In the Fall…
#1 VS #2 SHOWDOWN
The final day of the Fall Schedule will showcase four matchups, including the marquee meeting between #1 Brooklyn FC and #2 Dallas Trinity FC at the Cotton Bowl at 3:30 p.m. ET. Dallas is unbeaten at home while Brooklyn is riding a five-match winning streak.
What’s on the line? With a win or draw, Brooklyn would go into the break as the clear leader in the standings. If Dallas gets the victory, it will tie Brooklyn atop the standings at 26 points, and goal differential could come into play to determine which team takes the No. 1 spot.
ALL 8
December 14 is the first time ever that all eight clubs are playing on the same day in the USL Super League.
SPRING SCHEDULE KICKOFF
The USL Super League will be back in action on February 8th when Tampa Bay Sun hosts FTL UTD in the second edition of the Florida Derby.

Fort Lauderdale United was barely holding its head above water a few weeks ago, going 1-4-1 in October and November. And just like that, the team found its stride again and has earned two 2-1 wins this month to move back above the playoff line in the standings.
The key for FTL has been to take control of the game early. Against Dallas, Fort Lauderdale got on the board just two minutes into the match. This past Saturday, Addie McCain gave the home side the lead at the nine-minute mark. Both of its opponents struggled to get back into the match after those early goals. The team has won five of the six matches when it scored first.
Fort Lauderdale could go three in a row to close out the fall if it can take down a struggling Carolina Ascent in the Fall Finale this weekend. In the Ascent’s recently-snapped 11-match unbeaten streak, it only conceded first once. It fell into a deficit in both of the two losses since. If FTL can get the road win, it would close the gap between it and Carolina in the standings with one match in hand.

![]() Last Week: 6 |
Another team with a few weeks of rest before returning to action this weekend is DC Power. The club earned a last-minute victory in its most recent match against Fort Lauderdale, but it will need to be disciplined defensively if it wants to take down Lexington for a second time this season. |

Spokane Zephyr FC (2-5-6) Week 17: @ TB |

The road struggles continue for Zephyr after the team fell 2-1 to FTL last weekend. It’s always going to be a big defensive ask for the team going against Brooklyn, but Lexington’s defensive woes were put under the spotlight in Saturday’s match. And now without midfielder Amanda Allen for the rest of the season, Lexington’s offense takes a hit as well. |
The USL Super League announced the Team of the Month for November on Thursday, with Dallas Trinity FC midfielder Samantha Meza earning Player of the Month.
Meza played all 360 minutes of Dallas’ four matches, helping the team to an undefeated 3-0-1 record in November. Meza scored what would be the game-winner less than three minutes into the match against Carolina Ascent FC on Nov. 23. The honor is Meza’s first Team of the Month selection this season.
“I’m really thankful that the USL Super League was created to provide plenty of more opportunities for women to play,” said Meza on USL Super League Game Week on Sirius XM. “It has allowed me to get some games in, get some more experience in, because you can never out-beat playing. You can train all you want, but the playing experience is awesome.”

M: Carlee Giammona, Tampa Bay Sun FC – Giammona put the Sun on the board in the 1-1 draw with FTL UTD and scored the game-winner in their next game to hand Carolina its first loss of the season. She also ended the month with five shots and four chances created from the midfield.
M: Samantha Meza, Dallas Trinity FC – The Dallas native recorded her second goal of the season in the 1-0 win over Carolina. Meza led the league in duels won (38) while also winning six tackles and maintaining over 83% passing accuracy.
M: Amanda Allen, Lexington SC – The Canadian international was all over the field for Lexington this month. Allen had a team-high 13 shots, won 27 duels and created three chances for the Girls in Green this month.
M: Felicia Knox, Fort Lauderdale United FC – The Alabama alum created four chances, sent in 13 crosses and won 10 duels while keeping 80% passing accuracy.

On the latest episode of USL Super League Game Week, hosts Anna Witte and Marion Crowder recap Fort Lauderdale United FC’s big win last week against Dallas Trinity FC, and they discuss the future of DC Power FC after the club mutually parted ways with head coach Frédéric Brillant and the announcement of Sporting Club Jacksonville joining the Super League next season.
Fort Lauderdale United defender Celia Gaynor later joins the show to detail her transition from college to professional soccer, what she’s learned from FTL’s head coach Tyrone Mears and her role on the field as the team navigates the ups and downs of the first half of the season.

The battle at the top of the table continues to get tighter after Carolina dropped back-to-back matches and Brooklyn continues to ride a four-match win streak. Dallas also had an opportunity to jump to second place but fell 2-1 to Fort Lauderdale last weekend. The final two weeks, especially the matchup between Dallas and Brooklyn on the 14th, will decide which of those three clubs will finish the fall in first place.
Tampa Bay, Fort Lauderdale and DC Power are all entering the Fall Finale coming off a win. The three teams are also in fourth, fifth and sixth place, respectively, with three points separating them. The next two weeks will show if either team can build some momentum from their recent victory and move their way up the table.
Lexington may be at the bottom of the standings for now, but with two matches left, anything can happen. The team is closing out the Fall Schedule at home against two teams that it is seeking redemption against. Lexington also is the only club to have not earned a clean sheet, and its best chance to do so is against DC Power, which has been shutout a league-high eight times this season.
Spokane Zephyr will travel to its fifth and sixth consecutive away matches when it takes on the two Florida-based teams this month. Spokane’s last three results have been draws, but two wins to close the fall could catapult the team above the playoff line.

There was little movement in the standings this week as Dallas continued impressing with a draw and a win, while DC Power’s Anna Bagley scored her first of the season to snap the team’s two-match losing skid.
If you tuned in late or left early during Saturday’s matches, you might have missed the game-winners. Sam Meza recorded the fastest goal of the season, putting Dallas on the board in just two minutes and 57 seconds. Only five players this season have scored goals in the first 10 minutes of the match: Sydny Nasello (5’), Madison Wolfbauer (6’), Kailey Utley (7’), Mia Corbin (8’) and Addie McCain (9’).
On the other end, Bagley’s goal was in the second minute of second-half stoppage time. It was the second time DC Power won 1-0 on a stoppage time goal, and the sixth goal scored after the 90-minute mark: Natasha Flint (90+2), Anna Henderson (90+3), Allie Thornton (90+4), Sydney Shepherd (90+4), and Kimberly Mendez (90+10).

Brooklyn FC (7-3-2) Week 15: — |
![]() Last Week: 1 |
Brooklyn remains with a firm grip on the top spot in the league standings and will stay there until its match against Lexington next month. After a jam-packed October, the team did what it needed to do in its lone match of November and can use these three matchless weeks to improve its already excellent form. |
| 2 | ![]() |
Tampa Bay Sun FC (4-3-4) Week 15: — |
![]() Last Week: 2 |
The Sun still has a few matches in hand compared to teams above them in the standings, so if the team can close out the Fall Schedule riding this unbeaten streak, we could see Tampa Bay coming for Brooklyn’s spot. |
| 3 | ![]() |
Dallas Trinity FC (5-1-5) Week 15: @ FTL |
![]() Last Week: 3 |
Trinity secured four of the six points up for grabs in last week’s two matches, extending its undefeated run to seven matches. Despite earning a win on the road, Dallas looks a little stagnant offensively and will need to be more creative in its attack if it wants to turn the draws into wins. |
| 4 | ![]() |
Carolina Ascent FC (5-2-6) Week 15: — |
![]() Last Week: 4 |
Unfortunately for the Ascent, they’ve had back-to-back matches against the two teams that are currently looking the best they have all season. Carolina’s offense looked good on Saturday, but Dallas’ defense was always just one step ahead, and Carolina couldn’t find the equalizer. |
| 5 | ![]() |
Spokane Zephyr FC (2-4-6) Week 15: — |
![]() Last Week: 5 |
Spokane has a lot of depth and can bring in players off the bench that immediately impact the game. The team is also great in transition as well as building out of the back. However, the team is still just not quite clicking and is unable to convert on goal to come away with results. |
| 6 | ![]() |
DC Power FC (3-6-4) Week 15: — |
2Last Week: 8 |
DC Power pulled out a much-needed win on the road after dropping back-to-back matches at home. Some lineup changes have proven to be beneficial for the team and moments of brilliance from Morgan Aquino and Anna Bagley secured the 1-0 victory on Saturday. |

Lexington SC (2-7-3) Week 15: — |
![]() Last Week: 7 |
Offensively, Lexington has been unstoppable in front of goal, scoring in its last seven consecutive matches. However, its defense has been its Achilles heel and should be its point of focus over the next few weeks before it takes on the powerhouse of Brooklyn. |

Fort Lauderdale United FC (3-5-2) Week 15: vs DAL |
2Last Week: 6 |
Fort Lauderdale frequently finds itself on either side of a last-minute goal, but it was on the losing end this past weekend against DC. FTL struggles to maintain its composure and keep an organized defensive shape for the full 90 minutes, causing the team to slip down the league standings. |
